Sitting Bear Singers
We are a Drum group formed in October 2010 with members from Wikwemikong On, Sheguaindah On, Sagamok On, and Walpole Island On. Not only do some of us attend Pow Wows, but also we attend ceremonies. We are quite knowledgeable in the songs sang in the ceremonies. We'd like to think that we represent our home communities when traveling to other communities on the Pow Wow trail. We are family driven group considering that half of our singers have families, so we consider of our drum group family.
Where the Wind Takes Us: We recorded this cd, to show our unity amongst our singers in a difficult time. The challenges that we were going through at the time of the recording opened to us an honoring of our lives and those around us. The memories of those we love will always be with us as we sing our songs...
We would like to thank The Curve Lake Powwow, Tribal Spirit Music, Rob and Errol, and all those involved, we had a blast recording. Thank-you to the communities, where we sang our songs, the creator for the ability to share our songs, our families who have supported and stood by us, and the fans who have pushed us to record...
